Water Resources Projects

Monitoring Systems that Cover a Range of Parameters

utilizing an array of technology and engineering to acquire, deliver and display data

Our systems are used by municipalities, government agencies, private industry, and non-profit organizations throughout California’s urban and remote locations. Covering a range of parameters for data collection and automation, these systems are designed specifically for water resources.

Flow Monitoring

Utilizing diversions via pumps or irrigation canals, as well as reservoir storage volumes

Real-Time Flow Data

This project takes place on a ranch where river water is diverted through canals ta reservoir for irrigation storage. The diverted water is closely monitored and recorded by our QuB systems for reporting to regulatory authorities.

The flow rate measurements are used to generate an annual total flow report, summarizing flow information by year and month. These reports can be generated automatically, on a schedule, or manually via the Grabdata Reports interface.

Creek Level, Flood Monitoring

City of Vacaville, Solano County creek level monitoring system

Eyasco QuB stations are strategically placed along Alamo and Ulatis Creeks collect data on creek levels and rainfall. Every 5 minutes, new information is gathered from each of the five stations and transmitted to a publicly accessible web page. The collected data is further processed using our Merlin Software to generate reports. During major storm events, City staff receive alerts when safety thresholds are exceeded. This monitoring system serves as a valuable tool, providing advance notice to Vacaville residents in an area where creek levels can rise rapidly.

Water Quality

Monitoring methods for collecting data of a range of parameters

Eyasco employs a diverse range of sensors to provide accurate measurements across various conditions. These sensors typically cover critical parameters such as flow rate, water level, pressure, temperature, and water clarity (turbidity).

Flowmeter Calibration Services

Eyasco’s offers flowmeter calibrations in the field.

Annual Flowmeter Calibration Services ensure optimal performance
and detect any potential discrepancies caused by wear and tear, environmental factors, or other influences. This is done to validate
station flowmeter readings against established standards, ensuring the flowmeter’s accuracy. This service also provides the necessary certification and verification for diverters when reporting
to regulatory authorities.

We use verified portable flowmeters to compare flow readings between the installed flowmeter and the portable flowmeter. During calibration testing, the installed flowmeter must fall within a percentage of the readings taken with our portable unit. We will issue a calibration certificate for each flowmeter that passes which can be used to show the flowmeter meets State Board requirements and other reporting.

Low Power Automation

Municipal water flow and control systems

Eyasco designed this low power automatic gate controller that drives a 24 VDC motor to move a canal check gate up and down based on flow, water level or operator preset position. It is designed to be powered entirely by a 60Amp hour 24VDC battery with solar and/or AC backup battery charging.
